The Tank IV Type J was the final model in the IV Series of tanks, and is a simplified type for improving speed of production. The biggest change from the H type is the removal of the turret turning motor and power generation auxiliary engine, which means the turret has to be turned manually. By removing it and adding fuel tanks, the tank's cruising range has been increased from 210km to 320km on level ground.

The IV observation tank is the successor of the III observation tank; the cupola was replaced with an assault gun, and the turret coaxial machine gun was removed.

This kit can be assembled as the IV tank J-type late model, or the observation tank. The tracks and suspension are movable; it comes with 3 types of muzzle brakes, 2 types of guide wheels and 4 types of upper wheels.
