From the manufacturer:
Each opening sequence of the first season of the "Space: 1999" television program provided a sneak peek at the action, excitement and explosions that would ile ahead. The show's "hero" ship was the Eagle Transporter. Its design suggested insect-like features with swappable components such as its central "pod," which could serve as a personnel carrier, a resuce center or as a posh transport for V.I.P.s, among other functions. Sci-fi fans tuned in each week hoping to see what role the Eagle might play in the next adventure.
This all-new model kit from MPC showcases years of research of the filming miniatures used in the show's production to provdie the most accurate plastic model kit possible. It features authentic detail, like spring-loaded articulated landing gear. The central pod can be removed as well. Its detail is impressive, as is its length, which nears 59cm (22 inches). Parts are provided in off-white, gray and clear, and the kit includes all necessary marking decals so it can be built without the need for paint if desired. It is comprised of over 300 plastic parts. An easy-to-follow pictorial assembly guide is supplied to assist in construction.
Includes:
- Over 300 parts in 2 colors and clear
- Cockpit wall detail and pilot figures
- Removable pod
- Extensive water-slide marking decals
- Spring-action landing gear
- Full color deco guide
