This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
Pit-Road brings back its model kit of the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier, the CV-9 Essex! The design of the Essex class was based on that of the former Yorktown class, with expanded flight decks and hangars to increase the number of aircraft on board, as well as enhanced defense and anti-aircraft armament. In the U.S. Navy, where the number of ships was increased with entry into World War II, 17 Essex-class ships were completed, and they were repeatedly refurbished and used for a long time after the war.
This kit can be built as a waterline or full-hull version; plenty of onboard aircraft are included too.
