Paint Set
Standard colours of US naval aircraft from 1950s till 1970s
From late 1944 until 1955 all US carrier-based aircraft wore Dark Sea Blue overall colour.
After 1955 till late 1970s upper surfaces of carrier-based US Navy and USMC attack planes were painted in Light Gull Grey, with Insignia White used on lower surfaces. The opposite combination was used in "solar-heat reflecting" scheme of naval transport, patrol and ASW aircraft (with Seaplane Grey used on land-based planes).
International Orange was dedicated to “high-viz” painting schemes and used on training and SAR planes.
