Features of RC Markers

These acrylic paint markers are specially formulated for modeling. They offer a perfect grip on plastic, resin, metal, and wooden surfaces. The markers are resistant to water and heat, and they can be applied in layers just like any other modeling paint. They provide high coverage without blurring and allow for subsequent weathering with any product without fear of removing the paint.

The markers are ideal for applying base coats on small scales or for painting camouflage accessories in a clean, comfortable, and precise manner. The finish of the markers is matte, but some references, due to the nature of the pigments, can be somewhat satin. Regardless of the preferred finish, whether it is matte, satin, or glossy, the markers can be coated with any type of varnish without fear of damaging the paint.

Usage in Modeling

RC Markers are perfect for hobbyists and experienced modelers who need to paint details or apply small base coats quickly. They are not a substitute for traditional paints as they do not allow for techniques like wet blending, feathering, or dry brushing. However, they are ideal for creating hard-edge camouflage patterns, disruptive patterns, and other detailed work.

For very vibrant colors such as reds, yellows, and oranges, it is recommended to first paint with white underneath. Although not necessary, this technique will make these tones appear more vibrant and saturated.

This product is not recommended for painting entire models. For larger pieces, it is better to use an airbrush and regular paint. The markers are extremely useful for painting details with great precision.
