This is  an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit. 

Adapted from Fine Molds:

The JASDF 8th Tactical Fighter Squadron was transferred to Misawa Air Base in March 1997, at which time it replaced its F-1 fighters with F-4EJ Kai and employed them as support fighters with their focus on air-to-surface and anti-ship missions. In March 2009, the 8th TFS' F-4EJ Kai were replaced with F-2 multirole fighters.

This unassembled plastic model kit contains 156 parts for the 1/72nd scale model of the JASDF F-4EJ Kai. Side cutters, a modeling knife, tweezers, paint and cement are required to complete the model. When completed, it will measure about 266mm long and 164mm wide.
